Top 10 Desserts of 2018

For my final top 10, I've rounded up my favorite desserts that I've made throughout 2018.  This was really the hardest list of all to compile, because there were just so many good ones this year!

I am a huge chocolate cake fan, and I wasn't going to let my birthday slip by without indulging.  I found this fantastic recipe that included ricotta cheese that allowed me to have my cake and up the protein count in it too! Best Chocolate Cake Ever

You've probably heard of upside down cake, but how about Upside Down Apple Pie? I took a step towards conquering my fear of pie crust and I sure didn't regret it.

This Very Vanilla Slow Cooker Cheesecake took a real leap of faith on my part.  I have never, ever made dessert in the slow cooker before. I was pleasantly surprised at how this turned out! Beautiful texture, and great flavor.  Best of all, no cracks!

All of my #ChristmasCookiesWeek recipes were huge hits here, but I forced myself to choose just one for the round up so that other dessert types wouldn't be neglected.  We loved this melt in your mouth cookie and the beautiful lemon curd filling.  Lemon Snowdrops

Caramel Truffles are a great way to get your feet wet in the candy making world.  No special tools needed. Heck, you don't even need an oven!  They were delicious and made great holiday gifts.

I can hardly wait for Strawberry season to roll back around so I can make more of this
Homemade Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream. It was awesome with blueberries and blackberries too.

After getting a kitchen torch for Christmas last year, it took me a while to get up the courage to use it.  These Caramelized Baked Custards were the perfect recipe to christen it with.

I always have a few loaves of quick bread in my freezer.  The recipes are so easy to double, and they freeze and defrost so well.  Hands down, this year's favorite was this Banana Split Bread.

I discovered quite a few treasures in my Gram's recipe box this year and this New England Apple Cake was one of them! This one could be in contention for best breakfast of the year also, because it was perfect with a cup of coffee.

Anytime I can sneak some healthy ingredients into a dessert, it's one for the win column.  If you peel the zucchini, no one will even realize it's there! Chocolate Zucchini Cupcakes

Thanks so much for coming by to check out my choices for the best desserts of the year! Be sure to
